Anyone willing to donate a little sketchup help?

Greetings those who know far more about 3D rendering and architectural design than I will ever forget.

I am currently working on my first piece of 3D modeling in Sketchup. It's the "construction document" for the effigy for our regional burning man festival here in Ohio this summer.

It's a ten foot tall wrist and two thumbed fist (ala Hunter S. Thompson). I have the wrist done (yes, yes, the easy part) and I even have some 2D polygonal drawings to help with the fist...but I am, to say the very least, struggling.

Anyone who could help?

I can't offer much in the way of compensation (we are all volunteers) BUT, I do have a ticket to the event and will post video of it being built, erected and of course burned.

Rhino / Flamingo assistance

Hey everybody, cool little tribe here.
I use Rhino quite a bit and would like to know of any tutorials/tricks to rendering anyone has to make them more life like / realistic.
All those soft shadows, nice lighting...etc. Links, tutorials...etc...anything would help.

Wow more people jointed my little tribe..
I see more of you have an interest in the lost form of Architectural renderings...MAybe not so lost but its an under respected art form whereas architecture is the master of the arts.
Please post more of your work, what is up there is amazing..
Also what media do you mainly use?

Hello all..And welcome Brian.
Yea this tribe has been kinda silent.
I have been doing multiple things so I havent really posted much here lately.
But I was wondering..Anyone have any experience with Autodesk Viz.
Iam, getting the 2005 demo to try.
I currently use Autodesk Revit to do all my cad work. It is easy to use and alot cleaner to use than ADT (architectural desktop)
So have a great day all..
And my bday is almost here, May 31.

I just discovered tribe and was pleased to find this one. I just posted one of the renderings I made for the Northwestern School for the Performing Arts. I have been busy working on my portfolio..
So we love architectural renderings..
Who do you think did the best artwork..
From the classics..(post some classical drawings)
To modern cad work.
I personally love love watercolor architectural renderings.
There is such a softness to it.
And like myself, do you when you do a rendering think..This is the one that will change forever architecture..

I really love Architectural renderings..ANd I noticed there were no tribes that really specified the beauty of Architectural Renderings..If they are classic hand drawn or computer aided.
